Session 1: Songwriting and its Importance

In this session, you will learn why songs are important in our times. Dive briefly into history about songs that brought about change. Also, learn how you can contribute and if it’s that difficult to write songs after all.

Session 2: Song Breakdown

In this session, you will learn what makes a song? Difference between songs and poems. Structure of a song. Knowing the rules before you break them. Writer’s block and the cure. What’s the best time to write a song?

Session 3: Out of the Box

In this session, you will learn to recognise what is inside the box? How do you step out of it? How to organise the boxes in your head.

Session 4: Pen to Paper

In this session, you will learn about writing a song. Diving in the deep end of the pool and surviving. Is my song good enough?

Session 5: Magic Vs. Trick

In this session, you will learn the difference between Magic and tricks. The power of magic. The story of a song and the journey.

What You Need
  • Pen and Paper
  • A phone to record your performance on video. We recommend the Dolby On App (android & iOS) for high-quality recordings.
  • Manuscript paper (if you do not have access to this, you may draw staff lines on a plain paper)
  • Broadband internet connection (recommended)
